What is included in an Auto.vin report?
Your report may include VIN-specific OEM data (build sheet / exact factory configuration) and digital service history entries (when available). Depending on the brand and market, it can also include equipment/options, trim/version details, codes, dated mileage entries, and recorded service actions or workshop remarks.
Which vehicles and brands are supported?
Coverage depends on the brand, market, and model year (typically 2012+). We support many manufacturers and markets across Europe and the USA, but availability varies by vehicle and where it was serviced.
Why is service history sometimes missing or incomplete?
Service history may be unavailable if the vehicle was not serviced in an OEM/authorized network, if the brand/market does not provide access to digital records, if records were not recorded correctly, or if the vehicle is outside supported years/regions.
Is the build sheet always available?
Not always. Some brands/markets provide full VIN-specific configuration, while others provide partial equipment/specification data. If a full build sheet is not available, you will still receive all OEM information that is available for your VIN.
In what format do I receive the report?
You get access to an online, interactive report and you can download a PDF version for archiving or sharing.
In what language is the report delivered?
Service entries and equipment details are shown in the original language stored in OEM/authorized workshop systems. Translations are planned — in the future you will be able to view the report online with translations and re-download an updated version.
Is the data “official” and verified?
We retrieve information from manufacturer and authorized-service sources (when available for a given VIN). We do not accept user-submitted edits. However, the report may reflect limitations or errors present in the original source systems.
Do you store my VIN or personal data?
We process the VIN only to generate your report and to handle essential operational needs (e.g., troubleshooting, fraud prevention, compliance). We do not require an account to order a report. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
Can I share the report with someone (e.g., a buyer)?
Yes — you can share the PDF or online access for your own use, for example during a vehicle purchase/sale. Reselling reports as your own product/service is not allowed.
What if I entered the wrong VIN?
VINs must be entered correctly (17 characters). If you believe there is an issue with your order or the VIN you entered, contact our support and include your order details.
