1. Workshop service
After maintenance at an authorized Porsche service centre, an eligible service entry can be created in Porsche systems for a supported vehicle.
Porsche Digital Service Book by VIN
Check whether digital service book data is available for your Porsche. The report can help verify service entries from manufacturer sources, visit dates, recorded mileage and available service details.
Data availability depends on the VIN, market, model year and currently available data sources. You will receive the data available for your VIN within the report scope — no login required.
Porsche digital maintenance history
What buyers often call a Porsche digital service book is now represented, for supported newer models, by the Digital Maintenance History available in the My Porsche app. Porsche currently lists the 911 from model year 2022, Taycan from 2021, Panamera from 2022, Macan Electric from 2024, Cayenne from 2022 and Cayenne Electric from 2026.
The current owner-facing history includes qualifying services performed from April 2025 onwards. Earlier maintenance is not backfilled into this view, so an empty digital history — or the absence of a stamped paper booklet — should not by itself be treated as proof that the vehicle was not serviced.
Availability can vary by market, model and model year. Earlier service documentation may still need to be obtained from a Porsche Centre or other vehicle records.
Porsche service data ecosystem
It is important to distinguish completed maintenance history from Porsche Smart Service. Both relate to servicing, but they are not the same feature.
After maintenance at an authorized Porsche service centre, an eligible service entry can be created in Porsche systems for a supported vehicle.
My Porsche can display an automatically generated and updated summary of completed service actions for supported models. The current history includes qualifying services performed from April 2025 onwards.
PCM and the My Porsche app can also show Smart Service information such as maintenance needs and component status. This is different from the completed Maintenance History displayed in My Porsche.
A service reminder or Smart Service status in PCM should not be presented as the same thing as a completed digital maintenance-history entry.
Workshop access explained
PPN access, diagnostic access and the ability to create an owner-facing My Porsche maintenance entry are separate permissions. Porsche publicly documents PPN/PCSS access for independent workshops, but that alone does not establish that every PPN workshop can create the same digital maintenance entry as an authorized Porsche Centre.
Porsche’s owner documentation states that the Maintenance History link appears after the first service at an authorized Porsche service centre. Independent-workshop PPN access is documented for technical information and, with additional approval, diagnostics.
A digital service book is a set of service-related records stored in digital manufacturer or service systems. Where data is available, it can help you understand how the vehicle was maintained.
Data scope is individual to each VIN. Missing records do not automatically mean that the vehicle was not serviced.
This page focuses on the digital service book: digital service entries linked to the vehicle and how Porsche service information can be stored and made available for a VIN.
If you want to check available visit dates, recorded mileage and descriptions of service work for a specific VIN, go to Porsche Service History by VIN.
If data is available for the selected VIN, the report may include:
Provide the 17-character Porsche VIN.
We verify the VIN and check whether service book data is available for the vehicle.
After payment, an online report and PDF are prepared for the selected VIN.
Compare available service information with the seller description and vehicle documentation.
Check whether available service entries contain mileage readings useful for consistency checks.
Get additional context about a Porsche imported from another market.
Digital service book data is not available for every Porsche and can differ in scope. It depends in particular on:
Check available service entries, visit dates, mileage and manufacturer-source information.
Check service historyCheck broader factory configuration, specification, packages and Build Sheet data.
Get Build SheetVerify available standard equipment, options and factory equipment codes.
Check factory optionsCheck the meaning of an individual Porsche option code.

A Porsche digital service book by VIN refers to service-related records available in digital manufacturer or service systems for a specific vehicle. Depending on the available data, these records may include service dates, mileage readings, service centre details and descriptions of maintenance or workshop actions.
No. Availability depends on the VIN, model year, market, service network and the data currently available from manufacturer or service systems. The scope can differ between individual vehicles.
Yes, if mileage was recorded with the available service entries. The report may show recorded mileage in kilometres or miles depending on the market and data source. These readings can be useful for checking mileage consistency.
For supported vehicles, Porsche displays completed Digital Maintenance History in the My Porsche app. This owner-facing history is separate from Porsche Smart Service in PCM and its availability depends on the model, model year, market and service date.
No. Porsche Smart Service in PCM and My Porsche can show maintenance needs and the status of selected components. Digital Maintenance History in My Porsche is a separate view that summarizes completed service actions for supported vehicles.
PPN/PCSS access, Porsche diagnostic access and permission to create an owner-facing My Porsche maintenance entry are separate. Porsche documents PPN/PCSS access for independent workshops, but does not publicly guarantee that every PPN workshop can create the same Maintenance History entry as an authorized Porsche Centre. Confirm this with the workshop before servicing.
No. A missing entry means only that the information is not available in the data returned for that VIN. The vehicle may have been serviced elsewhere or the event may not have been recorded in the available digital sources.
